The site manager of a new development in Wandsworth has earned a prestigious construction award for high standards of building quality. 

Salter house Garages, being built by Ensigna, has been awarded The Bricks Site Recognition Award by from LABC Warranty for the quality of workmanship and overall site management.

Bricks Site Recognition Award winners are chosen every month and are then further shortlisted at the end of the year, where only the best of the best site managers are  recognised at The Bricks Awards the following year, one of the construction industry’s most prestigious awards, given to outstanding sites from England and Wales. 

LABC Warranty is one of the largest providers of structural warranties in the UK. Working in partnership with Local Authority Building Control (LABC), its combined team of more than 3,700 surveyors work with house builders, contractors and housing associations. 

Sites are scored by LABC Warranty Risk Management Surveyors during inspection visits, which take place regularly throughout key stages of construction. 

Those sites that consistently return high scores for quality of workmanship and site management are nominated for a Site Recognition Award. 

The works consists of the demolition of existing garages and the construction of 4 terrace houses over 3 floors. 2 Houses have 3 bedrooms and 2 have 4 bedrooms. The build consists of a traditional masonry build with piled foundations and trussed roof. 

The site is very tight with no space for material storage due to root protection zones.
